Saw the business on the local news and made a special trip. We loved it. We had the lunch specials. The pepperoni pizza was so good. We got a country sourdough to take home. Everything looked amazing. The place smelled so good. Everyone looked happy. The employees were really friendly. We will be back for sure. Highly recommend!
Big fan of this place and the content they post on YouTube. My mom recently went to Mesa and was kind enough to bring sourdough and some pastries back to WA. Needless to say it was incredible. The flavor, crust, shaping, baking was all perfecto.
It’s all delicious from the hamburger buns to the chocolate cherry sourdough! The double baked almond croissants, the lemon and my favorite, pumpkin tarts!! Let’s not forget the jalepeno cheddar sourdough!!! Our new staple for avocado 🥑 toast!
A local bakery that uses trustworthy ingredients and methods. Unfortunately that is so rare in the world of food. I love that everything is leavened using ONLY sourdough. Every time I’m in I like to get a chocolate croissant and a multigrain loaf for my sister because it’s her favorite. I love Proof and 10/10 would recommend.
The assortment of items you can get is great! Everything was absolutely delicious. Staff was nice and quick. I think our favorite was the croissant cinnamon roll.
If not the best almond croissant I've ever had, it rates in the top two. Contender is the one I had in Paris 20 years ago at a Boulangerie. I remember bringing home a dozen only to eat them all on the plane, they were that good back then. Proof's bread is made fresh every day, lots of variety, from stoneground local flour which they also sell. I bought a fruit and walnut loaf and it was incredible. Lots of pastries to choose from, most have a sourdough base. I am an almond croissant connoisseur and this was off the chain. Lots of filling, crispy, crunchy, almond-y. They did not skimp on anything. Quality at its best. Do yourself a favor and run, don't walk, to grab yourself some and share with your loved one(s) if you please (unlike me). 15/5 see pics and video
Yum, yum, yum! Proof does not disappoint. We had the opportunity to visit the bakery storefront and bought the country sourdough, fruit and nut boule (not pictured), and a variety of pastries (my favorite was the DNA Chocolatine). Everything was delicious and perfectly baked - the kind of dedication to craft that you would find and expect by master bakers in any European city. While the price point may be a bit high, you are paying for quality products made with quality ingredients by local artisans who clearly put a lot of love and pride into the process. It’s worth every penny!
I got a variety of things. I love savory stuff and so I got the green olive Boulé, a couple of the rosemary sea salt croissants, and 2 fruit/custard pastry. Omg, they are FANTASTIC. Highly recommend this place. Its so delicious and in a quaint spot in Doentown Mesa. ✔️ Definitely will go again.
Im vacationing in the area and stopped in this morning. I purchased the jalapeno cheddar bread and wow is it great!!! The young lady who waited on me very helpful and personable. I'll definitely go back
We love the bread at Proof. We've been using their sliced sourdough for years. I love that it is simple, and doesn't have all of the additives and fillers. It doesn't upset my stomach. The taste is delicious. We got the Boston cream croissants special ordered for Fathers day and they were amazing. I hope you all bring those back for another special occasion. They were worth the trip!
